Yum can't get enough lunch places in the legal eagle area - and I do adore a stupendous sandwich. I have to say, I'm with you on the macarons - tried Lindt etc and never really been wowed off my feet. Clearly I need to hotfoot it here instead.

A big WOO and HOO indeed for the macarons. I'm not a big biscuit fan, but I'll always accept a good macaron. Unfortunately, it's hard to get a good one but I'm with you and agree that Duncan's are Macarongasmic!

Jackie - thanks for stopping by! Good to hear about the new timers for the meatballs etc.

Gem - yes the ciabatta sandwiches are definitely easier to eat ;)

Duncan - you're very welcome, and thank YOU! I'm so inspired by your macarons that I'm going to attempt them again tonight!

Thanks so much Kate! The beauty of keeping them modestly sized, is that the focus can be on the flavour and balance of textures (and of course, there's room left for more;) ). Even better that you felt that my macarons communicated the charm to you... poor macarons definitely fail to do that, and I'm sure that's why many people in Australia don't 'get' macarons.

EARL's sandwiches are exciting aren't they.

Hoping to revisit for lunch too - first time this week and yes, those macarons! I find baguettes really hard to chomp on, so maybe I should try the ciabatta ones next time as they look softer.

Thanks for the write up Kate. It was great on a busy day to see another friendly blogger face. Glad you enjoyed Bacon Rage, its a fun tongue in cheek reference that we enjoy being part of... the rage hurt many ;)

Thanks for the feedback on the meatballs being too cold, we are implementing on Monday a whole system of timers so we can guarantee items that should be hot, are definitely hot every time.

Cheers, hope to see you again soon
